The photovoltaic cells transform solar energy to electricical power. One panel consists of a number of solar cells. Many panels represent an electrical power production unit.  Every cell is equiped with a silicium wafer.  For transforming the photonia of the electrical power to electricity the consistence of this wafer has to be modified through the use of chemical combinations containing fluorine or boron, an application that requests the usage of specialty gases, nitrogen and argon, with which Air Liquide supplies the photovoltaic panels industries.
